@BrendanDell I honestly do, it removes every limit on their control which is their main goal. Curtis Yarvin openly talks about replacing democracy with a techno-feudalist system run by unelected elites. He “jokes” about using “wards of the state” as biodiesel for public transit. Peter Thiel funds “seasteading” projects offshore city-states where billionaires can live outside the reach of laws, voters, and any kind of public accountability. These aren’t just ideas they’ve blogged about they are being prototyped right now. Trump is now floating “Freedom Cities,” which is just a more palatable version of the same concept testing how much corporate authoritarianism the public is willing to accept.
If AI can replace both labor and consumers, then the general public becomes unnecessary. No workers to pay, no voters to win over, no regulations to follow. They still own the capital AND control the infrastructure.
