Sometimes I like to take a moment to talk to folks who say they're anxious about being replaced by AI. I'm in AI and I want to say that you are valuable and *cannot* be replaced. I mostly work with text based models, but I can categorically say that text models will never replace the author in my mind. That's not the goal. Same with art. If anything, my ability to generate "art" at will has increased my understanding of and appreciation for actual artists. Artistic expression is something that was effectively closed to me. I'm so bloody technically minded science was literally all I could do. Of course, I don't try to sell the things I generate (they're my private expressions, just for me, does that make sense?). I have no idea who would pay IRL money for generated art. Make it yourself, you numpties. If I want art made, I'll talk to an artist. As an aside, I'm really proud, I bought an actual print by a real artist. It's numbered and signed and hanging on my wall. It's cultured AF. I would *not* have done that pre-AI. Take heart, mate. No machine, no matter how hard I work, can replace the OG human soul. You've got this.
