Why are you putting the burden of this solution on the ARTISTS instead of on the COMPANIES that made this AI?
They are the one making is a product for profit, therefore it is their responsibility to make sure it is ethically built. They have done it just fine with the music AI softwares Sam mentions in this video. They could quite literally do it the same way for artwork and provide a website for anyone to opt in their own artwork of their choice assuming they'd get compensation or royalties back from it.
The only progress the world will be if we leave AI to do everything for us is becoming fat people like in Wall-E and suffering brain rot.
