This is the main issue! Technological improvements are good. If we could hypothetically safely replace all necessary jobs with machines then what we should be doing for people is letting them live for free in an automated world. Give universal basic income or make resources free, and let everyone enjoy the fruits of automation. Let people pursue their passions.
