@Miku-yu5iu We have not yet been in a situation where kids get to see AI images at a young age, when they're supposed to start learning. Will they start learning? Maybe at first to scribble some stick figures, but will they continue, when it's time to get more serious, and it will actually start feel like work? When I was teenager, me and my two best friends were the 3 best artists in the whole school. We would get together every evening in someone's home and draw for HOURS until our hands hurt, into late hours, and repeat the next day. We didn't loiter much around the mall like other kids. We had an ambition and passion. We would hold exhibitions on the school walls. We gained respect from peers because we did art from "badass" subjects, fantasy art, pinup, tattoo designs and such. We designed album covers for local bands, covers for year books. Whole Frank Miller style graphic novels, just for fun. I definitely wouldn't have bothered with ANY of that if there was AI around. There was other interesting stuff to do, drinking, being outside, playing in bands (which I also did). Why would have I bothered. The whole point of it was to get better, why get better if AI can beat you anyway. And I would have taken the rest of school more seriously, because I would have already known that art will never be a career for me. I wouldn't have had the time to do all those art things. Not at that intensity level. Yes you can have a hobby, but someone who does something for hobby, will never be great. To be great, you have to dedicate your life to one thing. And to dedicate your life to one thing, you need to get paid for it. If everyone is a hobbyist, there will be no more great artists anymore. This goes for all fields of life, to be really good, you have to dedicate into one thing and get paid for it.
