If the whole point is being nice to look at then it's not art, it's a craft. Art needs a meaning, a human that gives it a message or a purpose. The illustration of an OC for example, it illustrates a fictional character with color, shape, composition etc, all made with purpose. AI "art" is made by accident, every brushstroke is chosen by probability.
If you are just trying to get a generic landscape image for your PC wallpaper then go ahead and use AI, since it's not meant to transmit anything.
Of course, AI can be used as a tool sometimes, helping artists with some parts of coloring etc, but this will always be as a substitute of the lack of technique and knowledge of the artist that will be harmful for their artistic development in the long run
