I don’t think the issue is that AI art is atrocious. I think the issue is that AI Art will get good, very very good… but off of what? LLMs and all these machines can only work one way and one way only, data collection. All the hard work and history of Human made art will be stolen from these machines, and spat out, only to be marketed by Greedy Corpos that don’t want to pay the working man, just so they can get themselves a yacht to get a blowjob on. These machines can’t exist without us.
