@TriThom50 The funny thing about all this is that software engineers are being let go due to AI. I know a guy who works at a software firm and he says to me they're laying off workers left and right, and he believes he's next. It makes sense if you think about it - AI does most of the nitty gritty part of being a software developer, which is coding. So unless you can effectively put the pieces of software effectively to make your application, you don't have much of a future in that field.
I don't know about the other engineering disciplines, however.
