I'm sorry but I disagree. We, us, human, can absolutely change this. Problem is nobody will actually do anything. One person actually did. Ted. Died trying to be an actual hero. But has been labeled a villain and anyone that agrees with what he did is labeled a threat. So, if everyone wakes up and opens their eyes, we can stop this type of future. In the words of elon musk "we're summoning a demon". Stop playing with fire and summoning demons. Ai will not make life easier for humans. It will at first. Gain all trust, gain all confidence, gain all financial systems, access all defense systems, gain access to all minds and bodies with the help of things like neurolink.
