@rubenmahrla9800While that would be nice, I can guarantee it's not going to be a ubiquitous standard for heavy industrial robots for any time soon. I was actually just at the EMO manufacturing conference in Germany last week - spoke to all the companies developing safety systems AND heavy duty robotic arm manufacturers, it's not even on their drawing board. There is new human presence detection systems being developed, but they wouldn't allow the robot to operate at all with someone on the cage. There's nothing close to what would be needed for someone to safely operate within the danger zone of a robot being developed for these industries AFAIK. They're entirely focused on keeping the humans and dangerous robots separate, not working towards integrating their workflows closer together - there's simply no need when you can so easily separate the working areas. I've heard rumours of such systems being developed for the hospitality sector, and maybe these advancements will eventually trickle into manufacturing as a redundant safety system, but even then I have doubts any manufacturers going to to pay for a system that allows people to work in proximity to such danger rather than just stopping the robot from operating altogether whenever someones in the danger zone.
