It's funny you say that. I was a Construction Manager and I feel the same. AI can't replace everything we do. Any chance you saw the Sci-fi movie where a space has one young man on board to repair it. The ship is in charge. It joins a second ship that has a female engineer. She gets pregnant. The baby is given to the man to train to replace him. So the humans were kept only to work on the ship and bred to make more engineers.
