Inspiration is a person seeing something and putting their own spin on it. It often borrows that original idea at a very fundemental level and not much else. The rest is original. AI makes what it makes by brute force. It takes as many reference images as it can find, and aggressively mashes everything together over and over until it makes something pleasing. It is then fed feedback telling it to use these similar configurations and does it again. It doesn't GET inspired. It just throws cans of paint at a canvas and hopes that something will stick.
