Not really, but it’s easy to make a positions look stupid when you don’t understand it. The defense was more along the lines of, ai art is giving people who didn’t have the opportunity to develop drawing or painting skillls the ability to express themselves. No one said it didn’t take skill to use, it’s just a diffrent skill, that’s the point, it allows someone to express themselves using something they are already familiar with like a language model as apose to things like color theory and perspective. Funny how not understanding things works. As an artist that went to art school and can make traditional art, I see ai art as a tool, wheather or not some people use that tool to make dank and unique art or to spit out image generations, is up to them.
