Agreed. Ball spent most of the debate saying that existential threat from AI was just an assumption made by the other side, when in reality it is a very carefully reasoned, technical position. It would have been nice if we could have gotten some technical arguments for why he believes P(doom) is low, but instead all we got is vague dismissal of the idea of doom with no concrete reasoning behind it at all.
