@Nyan4Eon YUP, in America we do NOT have consent laws for children with children relationship. This is legally considered CP. It seems to me that this wasn't escalated to the higher authorities and the school and the be quite honest as per the usual a lot of adults don't know even know what deepfakes are let alone understand how to spot them.
Moreover lets play devil's advocate, even if they don't know a deepfake, they should still have reported a 12 year old being in such a video as it would mean the principal knows/thinks a child is being abused and has video evidence and CHOSE not to report it.
