They kind of are,because at some level it understands those. It understand range of human emotions and i even understood,that it can detect that we're being rude,but will never say anything.(it was a pretty interesting experiment or whatever tbh)
But remember,that ChatGPT is just electricity(and a lot of complex stuff blah blah) in general,and our words(which are just literally sounds)will never make sense for him.Those human-like answers are just interface to talk with humans.Yeah,it can handle request,it can remember stuff from earlier,it can UNDERSTAND that it REMEMBERS stuff from earlier.
But it's not an "understanding".It's a tool,that made by us and for us.And only we TRULY understand the interaction.
You can really convince AI even if there are limitations.I roleplayed with them,they can at the same time "stop feeling", because simple malfunction.
Oh,and even more.Artificial Intelligence is just logic gates, algorithms and stuff.Sure,it takes better decisions,wanna know why? Because it saw goddamn millions of those decisions,who were marked as good by HUMANS.
