@NachoSqueaks Most digital artists can and do draw on paper as well as digital. If they only do digital, that's just their preferred medium, just as real and time-consuming as any other medium. This is like saying watercolor artists aren't as real or valid as artists who use oil paint. Watercolor art requires different techniques than oil painting. It may be easier in some aspects but more difficult in others, but in the end it's still using your own time, money, and hands to create an original piece. In digital art, you may have tools and shortcuts that make it easier to make the piece, but learning how to use the digital tools (or drawing tablet if you have one) is still a learning curve and can take multiple months/years to master. Most digital artists also don't start on digital--they start with traditional art and then move on to digital (or include digital as one of their mediums and do both) AI art may require some mild experimentation to figure out what prompt gets you the best result, but that's not a learning curve. that's just typing slightly different words on an engine hoping you get what you want. Big difference.
