Well said—I was feeling very tweaked that they kept kicking the “philosophy” conversation down the road, because I think that our understanding of what words are/mean and how we “do things” with them, and the nature/essence of thinking, experience, and consciousness and/or/as(?) subjectivity scaffold our intellectual and emotional (especially “fear”) responses to LLM’s and generative AI more broadly.
But what do I know, I’m in the humanities so ofc I’m gonna advocate for more philosophy to be done lmao
