AI could lead to utopia, but not in the framework of capitalism. Unless AI is very based and overthrows capitalism once it gets the chance, it will always be used for the purposes of its corporate creators and the state/billionaires backing them, which is very much not in our interest.
People focus way too much on whether the technology itself is "good" or "evil" without taking the broader social context into account.
