Maybe not to the full capacity of an adult human but he does display some awareness and independent thought. He may be at a level of a child or maybe learns just like animals learn. I would liken his —the robot’s awareness to an animal specifically how a domesticated one can learn how to do things that seem too advanced. He is evolving to become conscious. That’s what the scientist in the video is trying to accomplish.
