It's pretty logical. If racism and sexism exist at all in real life and AI is trained using data from real life then it's obviously going to reflect those things. If you could get over your brain shutting off every time you hear a "woke" word then you'd could reflect a bit on interesting conundrums like the catch-22 of AI needing a perfect world in order to create a perfect world.
