@Simon-UwU It's actually associating words (not literally "as words" but as discrete units of data) with particular pixel patterns. This is close enough for artmaking purposes. Besides that, I am addressing the simple act of reusing huge amounts of other art in the production of new art, where no pieces of the constituents are visible in the end result.
This is fine whether or not you use a tool for it. As anything is.
For 2, yes the individual can be creative or uncreative. That makes the art better or worse, same with all art.
For 3, as I already said, they don't as often anymore. Most clearly indicate it's AI art now.
