My day consists of decisions made on the fly. What automated machine is going to know exactly where the job may have switched to, how will it secure the load down properly, how will it take the chains off and put them back on? Then there's the fueling up and so many more things that a human could do so much more efficiently.
Driving from point A to point B is easy, doing the things I do and many other drivers do on a regular basis for automation is a long way off.
