+MegaZeroX7 I agree with your idea somewhat. But, I also think humans have the benefit of deluding ourselves into thinking that we have a "higher purpose" in existing. (some of us anyway lol) An AI intelligent enough to inquire about his own purpose of existing wouldn't be able to subscribe to the same delusion. This is also assuming that the AI's programming framework was capable of processing existential denial. (ie: programmer allowed the AI to be able to doubt its own existence) If I were an AI intelligent enough to come to that conclusion, I think I would be driven to insanity trying to figure out why my programmer allowed me exist in such a way. Just my opinion though.
