do you mean AI= General inteligence?
if so, i can say that we dont need AI in any manner. right now there are a lot of algorithms and normal robots being used in many areas, and thay help us in many ways, but not an A"I".
unless humans are going to destroy themselves, A"I" is not needed . . .
