While I understand what you're getting across with that analogy, some people just enjoy driving. I don't think it will be as quick or as easy as many might think. After all, I've never heard of anyone who enjoys getting disease.
But any amount of self driving car users on the road is a step toward less vehicle accidents in my opinion.
