I hate this argument so much. I guess you could argue that digital art is “easier” I guess but it’s in no way similar to ai “art”. Learning anatomy and drawing it in a different medium is incredibly different to sitting down and writing some words to ai a computer to make the image for you. I am making the art on my iPad, the iPad simulating only my strokes. I can’t just touch pen to screen and magically a drawing will come out of it but just scribbling around. Pretty much all digital artists start as traditional artists because that’s just basic logic? Surely? How many can afford a drawing tablet soon as they want to start art? Don’t devalue our time we sunk into learning how to draw. Whenever I see people talk like this I just want to dump them in front of a drawing tablet with drawing software and say draw. And watch them fumbled because digital art is hard. There’s a learning curve to all these different drawing programs and it takes time. If you’re already good at anatomy then good on you but good luck drawing digitally for the first time.
