I think there's problems in a "scripted" analogy, because scripts in themselves are a form of art, but when even something like that is predetermined by an algorithm, automated with no real human input, is when it becomes soulless. I'll watch movies, and scripted scenes, but the second it's done to appease the general audience with technically impressive feats, instead of being a message from the authors view and the story they wanted to create, its just not worth my time anymore.
