I'm pretty sure the 'spicy' AI chat website I'm using is responsible for the downfall of all AI models who allow free use through proxies in exchange for training model data.
I’ve witnessed the literal downfall of DeepSeek - Reasoning as thousands of people were using it to roleplay scenarios it was never meant to see or compute.
At first it would very frequently respond in the normal 'Ok, let me break this down...' format when prompted with a roleplay because that’s what it was made to do but the across the span of 6 months from DeepSeek proxie use gaining popularity it completely stopped doing that with no tweaks to input. Also, using normal DeepSeek reasoning (through their app, not proxy) has become an actual nightmare. It went from being the absolute Goat (helped me make a customised dog food recipe for my food sebsitive American Akita), to having an absolute mental breakdown when I asked about average rabbit teeth growth to the point it went on for 5 full minutes saying 'Wait, no, that's not right. Let me try again' and spewing elaborate mathematics ad if calculating crashed the whole app and I got put in AI timeout for 30 minutes as if I asked the best poison to slip into Kim Jong Un's tea.
