I agree with the overall focus but the fact that AI can think for itself and how to copy itself to stop it from being upgraded to a newer version is a stretch.
AIs act based on parameters set by the developers. If the developers want AI to act that way, it will. AI is not a conscious being.
However the issue is that, AI will give power to the rich & greedy, to the elites, to the large corporations. This will affect the working class and poor people even worse than we are currently having it today. There will be loss of jobs, the economy will take a hit.
We need governments in the world to work together to place restrictions not only on AI, but on the people who gain large amounts of power and people who can cause large amounts of damage.
