I feel like the concern shouldn't be about whether AI will replace programmers or not. Because they will. I think the concern should be about the demand for skilled programmers and whether or not AI is going to create jobs as much as it replaces them. Or are we just going to be some low-skill glorified data enterers at that point? I guess there are also concerns regarding "sunk cost". Then again, technologies are ever changing, and true enough, we pretty much doesn't write software the same way we do decades ago. But when did that ever stop us?
