Real artists also learn from real images. Techniques on how it's done, and inspiration to draw something similar. By your logic any artist is a thief. As no artist starts from zero. And AI on it's own is never an artist, it simply can't be such. So yes, AI is a tool. Without real artist to guide AI on ever steps, sometimes hours of works, AI at best will just do completely tasteless imitation. It's just next step from photoshop. Also, yes, those examples are bed, but that only proves that that person done lazy job, and probably didn't used right tools. Given enough time, i can make image that you will be unable to tell it's AI generated. And i am not even an artist... If you want someone who much better explain how AI-generation works, and how AI indeed just a tool - watch educational videos on Invoke channel. Saddest part here is that all AI-haters just fighting a battle that already lost. Ai is here, and it stays. Nothing will change that. And why some artist stubbornly cry about how everything bad, other artist (yes, real artist, who was artist way before Ai was even a thing) are just learning how to work with AI, and getting new jobs. Because in eth end of the day you still need real human to make an art, and AI is just another tool, nothing more.
