Not only do I personally feel it takes away from the artists work but it fundamentally takes the work from a different perspective to an artist taking inspiration. The capacity for human creativity is not something that can be translated to an AI, so ethically speaking the software is just taking from the artists as opposed to a human who looks at the art as a basis or even just as a muse to create something new. AI takes the old and creates something based on the old, while humans take the old and create something completely new and original. This is of course my opinion so feel free to agree/disagree cause we can.
