Glad I study engineering. We have no mandatory homework. 100% of the grade is the final exam, so you can’t let ChatGPT or any AI do all the work. You have to become capable of problem solving on the spot for your grade. I think mandatory in person exams counting as most of your grade solves the ChatGPT issue. Either the kids learned how to write essays during the semester by doing the work or they let GPT do it for them. If mostly the midterm and the final count (as in person exams, 90min or 120min), those who actually did the work will be rewarded.
