I think AI generated art could be good if they used it just for generic things like stock images that can't be made with humans in or near it, as long as they're bound by an ai copyright law. There is no free use without freedom of expression, and taking other people's art to make new art is not really freedom of expression.
You should only be able to use your own source images. I would love to be able to amalgam my own pictures and drawings, see what comes of it. No one else should be able to do that.
