It cannot be batteries, way too heavy to provide a man sized bipedal robot with sufficient energy to carry itself plus batteries around for long. A few minutes?
Alternatively, a backpack of gasoline and a small ICE / generator might extend range but it would be very loud!
The ones I’ve seen are on tethers supplying electrical power.
This is either a very short duration independent machine or it’s merely CGI. I don’t care which. Neither are a real world threat.
