Honestly using ai art is like writing an essay where everything you write is taken from different sources, written into an okay text (at best) and then published without citing any of the sources. It would never be acceptable to do that so I can't understand why doing the same with art would be fine. I can absolutely understand the convenience argument but putting in a little bit of effort in just finding what you are looking for is not that difficult. Plus that way you might find a couple of new artists that you like. As a disabled person I'd also like to say that using Ai art doesn't help me in any way. I'm not an artist but sometimes I need to draw pictures to help explain or understand concepts and doing that with Ai would most likely create more misunderstandings. Plus I would much rather learn how to draw and have that as a skill I can use to show others what I, an actual person with creativity, has been able to create
