It may seem disturbing that some AI wouldn’t sacrifice itself to save humans, but how many humans would actually sacrifice themselves to save 5 strangers? While it is the noble thing to do and the most socially acceptable answer, I doubt most would actually go through sacrifice to save others in the heat of the moment
