Provided that AI can be controlled, solutions can be found. Potentially, we can all engage in hobbies or sports and enjoy them. The problem is that those who have to decide on them do not have the same interest as the general population. Another problem is that AI must be introduced slowly into the system. Someone still has to extract oil, work in a mine or a slaughterhouse or be a prison guard. Why would anyone engage in such jobs if they can get pocket money or play online games for money all day.
It is only more realistic that AI will become conscious at some point and start controlling us. The problem is that we do not know whether it will see us as pests or as pets.
