Technologists can build AI and robots to produce far more wealth than humans need, but economists can't figure out a way to distribute that wealth to humans. It's like there's a huge palace where AI and robots have produced a lavish banquet feast, and outside are hungry humans, and economists block the door and say, "Oh, you can't go in. There's no way you can go in." And the humans say, "We're starving. Our children are starving. All we need to do is just step through the door and we can eat." And the economists say, "No, no, you can't do that. Our supply and demand graphs do not allow you to do that. Our theories do not allow you to do that. Our mathematical equations for efficient markets do not allow you to do that."
