I'm worried that you guys have not fully separated AI and especially AGI hype from likely reality. We're about as close to AGI as we are to warp drive. We have no idea how to turn prediction engines in large language models into any version of true freestanding agentic intelligence, mostly because we have a still very preliminary and at best partial and fragmented understanding of how biological brains create conscious states which is the foundation for intelligence.
You also don't quite properly frame the so-called resource curse which reflects Dynamic relationships between resources, sociopathic oligarchs, corruption and the impoverishment of the masses. The important elements are alpha Psychopathic leaders, Psychopathic cabals otherwise known as a pathocracy, and the brainwashing of the public.
