Honestly, he wouldn't have gone to an AI if he felt like he has the needed support around him. People go to AI now because they either have been dismissed all their lives and made to feel like crap for struggling or because for one reason or another, they don't have emotionally intelligent people around.
AIs take what you say and return it to you in a different way. I used CGPT for self reflection, co-regulation and it actually helped my me get tremendously better, so the user definitely has an impact on how the AI meets them. Also, recently they aded guardrails, so if you talk like that you're stopped immediately.
