AI is genuinely useful for some stuff. But yeah, even the strongest model available atm, 5.4 extended thinking is prone to mistakes.
They are quite good at basic and short term tasks, but even then it needs human overview. These things will inevitably add work if used for long term work flow.
I also think something critical to note is that if you're not at least proficient in the field you’re using an AI assistant in, you’ll very likely be unable to make anything truly good. But if you are proficient, it's mostly just a bit of a time saver.
End of the day. I do think AI is fine and will ultimately have a better reputation than it does now in like 5 years. But It'll only get the better reputation when companies stop forcing it down throats and expecting too much.
