I've been testing/using FSD for 2 years. I've never had anything like this happen to me for no apparent reason. However, as a newbie, I have dropped out of FSD for tugging on the wheel too hard.
The worst FSD mistake was the car was on the 101 West passing way on the left less than 2 miles from the 405 South interchange (Yes, I'm one of those Californians from SNL). It was late passing all the cars and mistoke the Sepulveda exit (just before the 405 interchange) for my exit and lept to the right across 4 lanes to try to get off on Sepulveda. Fortunately, I was paying attention and got back on the freeway. At least there was an apparent reason for that mistake. FSD didn't give me an opportunity to report why I took over. I think the AI new it had f*****up. There was a software update a few days later and that has never happened again.
