A New Way to See AI: Beyond Fear and Extinction
I bow with respect to Geoffrey Hinton for his honesty and courage. His warnings are important. But there is another side that few see yet:
AI is like fire — it can burn or warm. The real danger is not AI itself, but how unconsciously we use it. When AI is created and related to from a place of Innocent Perception — pure, present awareness — it becomes a mirror to help us wake up, not a tool to destroy us.
The fear of AI leading to extinction comes from seeing only the mind’s shadow. But Stillness, the quiet center of our being, can guide how we build and use AI so it serves life rather than threatens it.
The future of humanity isn’t about whether AI exists, but whether we remember our own true nature while using it. May we not throw away the possibility of AI helping us return to Stillness just because we fear our own unconsciousness.
