If you have to pay attention in a self driving car, than what in hell is the point of having one??? The company should have been charged, not the woman. I am against self driving cars, but if they were allowed... the whole point is that you can relax and not have to stress about driving, so the company OR the women that died is at fault if she walked out in front of it at night (which is what it looks like).
Walk out in front of a car in the middle of a road at night, and you may just get hit, self driving or not! I was hit by a truck once in my life at an intersection, so I am very careful when I cross.
