"they're getting better every day" isn't exactly true. AI doesn't get exponentially better; it requires exponentially more data. The problem is AI is now drawing data from the outcomes of other AI which is making them inbred and rapidly degrading on negative feedback loops. And since they're self propagating there is not way to go in and adjust them. And this all assumes enough data even exists. Moravec's paradox is a thing, people.
