1:27:33 with regards to Dune, I don’t think Paul forgot that the prophecies around him were made up and lies to control people. He’s constantly struggling with the myth and sees himself unable to escape its fulfilment. He can see multiple probable futures and choosing the best path makes him fulfil those prophecies for any other action leads to the extinction of the human race. This realisation torments him. In children of dune, he becomes a preacher warning against such false prophecies and myths. 😄
