I am a disabled artist. I am a writer and while you are talking mainly about a different kind of art, AI still greatly affects the kind of art that I love to make, personally. People are saying that AI makes art more accessible but there are already plenty of tools in place to help at least writers with making art. Me personally, my hands are put in extreme pain after short periods of use, I have a hard time riding on physical paper and doing anything else that requires small movements of the hand. So I mainly use voice to type most of the time whenever I write and then I go back in and I fix the few errors that I'm left with. Yes, voice the type uses a good bit of AI but it's only as an interpreter for human input. Personally, I used to love riding with a pen on paper when I could but as time has gone on and my hands hurt more, I've had to make the switch to electronic writing. Autocorrect and autofill also help greatly with being able to get through paragraphs. Simply put, there is no reason for me to be okay with people using AI to fill in what imagination should. There is always another tool one can use to make what they want to make. I have found mine with writing. I'm sure others could too with paintings and such. My mind always goes back to my art teacher back in Middle School, she told us of an artist whose name I forget but was very famous. He painted until he was very old and his hands got much the same way as mine, eventually he changed from painting pictures to using scissors to cut out pieces of colored paper and glue them to canvases. I've heard before that beauty is pain and that to an extent that goes for art too. Just because it is harder for you to make art the way you originally intended does not mean that you should give up on doing it with your own real input. It should be an opportunity to find an intuitive way to create. Real disabled artists do not support AI art.
