I dont see how "sentient" is equivalent to "alive" from an outward or third person perspective. I mean, I could understand how an AI that is "sentient" could equate its existence to being alive. I dont understand how a human could see a "sentient" machine as alive tho... or equivalent to any lifeform especially when it comes to the entitlement to exist & the rights associated with that entitlement. I probably sound stupid, challenging the idea of an AI engineer... I mean I barely made Algebra 1....I just dont get certain positions & right to state of being, that some people think is entitled to the concept alone of being able to intellectualize. If u threw a rock, & everytime it bounced or skipped in the dirt or sand etc., the markings left by its trajectory created & solved quantum equations, is that rock then entitled by morality to not be crushed into gravel? Excuse my stupidity, youtube is one of those platforms where anybody can say anything & my boredom has me take advantage of it...
